Swedish massage

Good for relaxing, and easing away the strains of everyday life!

Taking its name from the nationality of the man who devised it, Swedish Massage uses various techniques that are common to all massage work, as well as in some other physical therapies. Working on both superficial and deeper tissue, it can be deeply relaxing, as in a full body massage, or used on specific problem areas. We're sure you'll find it a very effective form of massage.

 

Sports massage

Useful for reducing pain, improving performance, speeding up healing times and help in rehabilitation.

No matter how seriously you take your sport, you probably train at a faster rate than your body can repair itself, leading to a build up of toxins and waste materials in the muscle tissue. As a result, muscles decrease in efficiency, loosing elasticity, and consequently putting you at risk of injury.

Massage works directly on the muscles to give you painless freedom of movement and maxmise your performance. It's benefits include improving circulation, restoring balanced posture, reducing scar tissue, releasing trigger points, reducing healing times so you can get back to your sport as soon as possible.

Sports massage can be used pre-, inter- and post event, as well as during rehabilitation and training. It can help with maintainance in your overall training programme, as preparation for, and recovery from, surgery, and importantly as Preventative Massage.

Remedial massage

Eases long term conditions e.g. arthritis, IBS, migraine and M.E. and is useful on specific injuries, such as repetitive strain injuries.

Known for its effectiveness and used since ancient times, the main effects of Remedial Massage Therapy are on a) the biomechanics that keep the body balanced structurally, b) the body's circulation systems, and c) the nervous system. Improvements in these systems bring about far-reaching benefits in the whole person - a truly holistic approach!

Facial Massage
